Nabin Karki is the visionary founder and managing director of Himalayan Magic Treks (P) Ltd, a company he established on June 6, 2012, with a mission to provide authentic, safe, and culturally rich trekking and tour experiences in Nepal. Born in the iconic Solukhumbu District—home of Mount Everest—Nabin’s journey into the world of adventure tourism began at the young age of 18 when he started working as a porter.
With over 22 years of hands-on experience, Nabin has risen through every level of Nepal's trekking and tourism industry, developing not just operational knowledge but a deep understanding of what travelers seek when they visit the Himalayas. His early years in the field and long-standing commitment to guiding trekkers across Nepal’s trails have made him an experienced team leader and a respected figure in Nepal's adventure tourism community.
Before founding Himalayan Magic Treks, Nabin gained valuable experience working with several reputed trekking companies, where he honed his skills in guest management, high-altitude logistics, and cultural tourism. His strong communication skills, coupled with fluency in Nepali, English, and French, allow him to connect with travelers from around the world and guide international guests with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
Nabin's passion for improving Nepal’s tourism standards has taken him beyond the Himalayas to countries like France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, the USA, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and Tibet. These international exposures have helped him understand global tourism trends and inspired him to implement professional, guest-focused service models in Nepal.
Today, under Nabin’s leadership, Himalayan Magic Treks continues to grow as one of Nepal’s most trusted trekking and tour companies, known for its ethical practices, personalized service, and deep respect for local culture and nature. Nabin remains actively involved in guiding and mentoring his team, always ensuring that every traveler experiences the magic of the Himalayas with safety, comfort, and true Nepali hospitality.
