This trek unfolds gradually, guiding you through lush forests, quiet alpine pastures, roaring glacial rivers, and rugged ridgelines, all leading to the majestic summit of Mera Peak at 6,461 meters (21,190 ft)—Nepal’s highest trekking peak.
From the moment you touch down in Kathmandu, the experience is both immersive and expertly guided. After a scenic flight to Lukla, you’ll step into a world far removed from modern distractions, where Sherpa culture, serene landscapes, and genuine hospitality shape each day. The trail winds through traditional villages such as Paiya, Pingkongma, and Ningsow, eventually leading to the wild and beautiful Hinku Valley, untouched by crowds and rich in biodiversity. You’ll trek beneath towering cliffs and snowy peaks, cross peaceful pine forests, and follow glacial streams as you ascend higher.
The route is designed for optimal acclimatization, with a dedicated rest and training day at Khare, where our expert guides provide essential mountaineering coaching before summit day. Each day involves 5–7 hours of trekking, with increasing elevation and a steady rhythm that balances challenge with comfort. Along the way, you’ll stay in cozy teahouses and camps, enjoy warm meals, and witness the culture of high-altitude communities. Weather conditions range from cool mornings and sunny afternoons to crisp alpine nights, especially above 4,000 meters.
Mera Peak itself is a non-technical climb suitable for physically fit trekkers. The ascent to the summit via Mera High Camp offers sweeping panoramas of the Himalayan giants—Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and even distant Kanchenjunga—making your climb a spiritual and visual triumph.
